Progress Printers, Inc. has been a fixture in Northern Michigan for over 150 years.

It all began when, in 1859, the Traverse Bay Progress newspaper and print shop was launched. Over the years, the Progress changed hands and changed names a number of times, all the while residing in Elk Rapids, MI. The printing portion of the business grew and eventually, the paper was sold.

In 1982 Jim Novak purchased Progress Printers, Inc. and in 1987 moved the company to their new location in Traverse City. With a focus on quality printing, reasonable pricing, and superior service, Progress Printers, Inc. has grown to be one of the leading printers in the region.

Because Progress Printers, Inc. is family owned and operated, staff and clients alike are treated as part of the family. This approach has served Jim well in low employee turnover and long term client relationships. In fact, 12 employees that are on staff have been employed by Progress for at least 5 years. The same holds true for clients, a number of whom have been served by Progress for many years.

With the launch of the new Progress Printers, Inc. website, it is our hope to grow the business beyond Northern Michigan while retaining the high standards that we and our customers have come to expect.

This guarantee does not apply to errors or corrections that were contained in your proof, but not noted on your approved proof form. Progress Printers, Inc. does not guarantee any color matches on its gang run post card products.
